In "Today," the poet uses constant enjambment which could mirror their pause in thought, perhaps because they are shocked by the beauty of spring and therefore is interrupted by its beauty. Similarly, in "Autumn," the poet uses constant enjambment. However, the enjambment could mirror how the tranquil of nature is constantly disrupted by Autumn, portraying Autumn as an evil villain to nature. Moreover, both poets use free verse.
