Some Muslims may disagree with this statement because Tawhid is more important on account of the fact that monotheism is the backbone of all abrahamic religions. A qur’anic verse to support me is “Say he is Allah who is one”. In addition one of the 10 commandments say “have no unusual idols” . One more abrahamic verse that supports my claim is from the Injil and states “One Lord, one faith one baptism, one God and Father of all”. the fact that so many verses teach monotheism means that Tawhid important because it prevents shirk which is a major sin Islam, so much so that another addition quranic verse condemning shirk says “God can forgive all sins save one: shirk. Indeed Allah does not forgive associating him with others. Therefore, Malaikah is not the most important belief as Tawhid is evidently more important and without it you will be surely destined for Jahannam. Other Muslims may agree with the statement because Allah communicates with people through the angels. For example angel Jibril is the one who told Maryam that she was carrying Isa. Additionally, the Qur’an says “we descend at our Lord’s command” which shows that Allah sends important messages through angels and without them, humans would never know Allah’s word. This is a weak argument because Allah is omnipotent and he doesn’t necessarily need angels to communicate with humans. An example of this is when he spoke to Musa through a burning bush. Some Muslims may agree with the statement as angels provide humans with lots of things depending on who they are. The Qur’an says they are “pure obedient servants of Allah” which means that they always help humans at Allah’s command. An example of this is when Jibril revealed the Qur’an to Muhammad allowing humans to read an uncorrupted version of God’s word. This means that Malaikah is the most important belief as they are always assisting humans for example Mika’el provides humans with sustenance. Other Muslims may disagree as Allah does not need angels to do this he just chooses to use them to do so. This means that angels aren’t as useful as some may think and another one of the 6 beliefs would be more important for example kutub which allows Muslims to follow Allah’s law and learn qualities which make them a good Muslim. This is a strong argument because although the angels are important entities, priorising your belief in malaikah does not allow for people to become better Muslims and achieve higher levels of Jammah. After considering arguments for and against this statement, I can conclude that it is generally incorrect as the other 6 beliefs increase your chances of going to Jannah more than Malaikah and if Allah pleased he could get rid of the angels and humanity could function in another way he chooses.
